Through the example of the Moscow based online newspaper. Relying on the scientific research of Marshall McLuhan, Lev Manovich, Russell Newman, Manuel Castells and others, current reports on the media market, as well as interviews with the former employees of The Village, the dissertation -media during 2015 -2017. Precise attention is on the online-newspaper the Village. The Village's example is taken as a baseline for the assumptions of the futher development of the Russian media. The results of the study are of the practical importance for the journalists working in the online city media, editors, publishers, producers, as the findings can be beneficial for creating new online platforms or the development of existing ones.
