Business Game Development in Unity3D

The work is performed as a part of a CBGS (competence-based business games studio) project, which was realized on the faculty of Economics, Management and Business Informatics of Higher School of Economics (Perm). Graduate qualification work is dedicated to computer business-game development. Unity3D game engine is used as a renderer, CBGS is used to perform game logic. The system of interconnection between two segments of the game, renderer segment and game logic segment was designed. The game “Crossroad passage” is designed as a prototype. Graduate qualification work consists of an introduction, three chapters and conclusion. The first chapter is dedicated to renderer systems’ analysis of currently existing computer and business-games. Concept and main characteristics of computer and business-games are described. Analysis of development tools was fulfilled to define a suitable method of work. The second chapter contains pre-requisites for the segment of interconnection between CBGS and renderer system. The design of interconnection system was performed. The third chapter contains description of stages of implementation of CBGS web service and renderer segments based on Unity3D game engine. Also, design of “Crossroad passage” business-game is described. The report contains 36 illustrations, 5 tables, 15 sources and 49 pages.
