Natural Religion in Russian Mason's Writings in the Second Half of 18th - First Half of 19th Century

The paper is dedicated to the conception of natural religion which has been analyzed in the context of the secularization process. The emergence and development of the conception is introduced in the work as well as comparisons with similar notions. The object of the research is the writings of Russian masons in the second half of 18 – beginning of 19 century. Thus, the goal of the paper is consisted in investigation of how the conception of natural religion that was developed in European Enlightenment was transformed in Russian masons’ writings. Beside published sources the archival ones were used. On this base the author offers new understanding of Russian masonry and its religious views.
