This study investigates a transformation of political structures and discourse of the EU countries after the beginning of the world economic crisis (the Podemos case in Spain). It was founded out that the world economic crisis has affected the political landscape of the European countries as it has revealed structural weaknesses of its traditional socio-economic and financial models. Moreover, it is pointed out that global recession has lead to the role declining of traditional political elites, loss of citizens’ trust and strengthening of protest forces. The Spanish case depicts that the world economic crisis has become a trigger of a new and protest Podemos party formation. In its turn, Podemos has changed the alignment of party forces traditionally dominated in political system about the last 30 years.
