Today, franchising is considered to be one of the fastest growing and implemented business strategies around the world. Despite the fact that franchising is relatively new for the Russian economy, it has already managed to capture the main branch of the economy, the largest of which is retail trade. In this regard, the question is urgent: how profitable is it today to build your franchise network? Based on this, the purpose of this study is to identify the importance of franchising, how to increase its value in the retail trade. This work consists of three chapters. In the first chapter, the main theoretical concepts of franchising and cost factors of companies are reviewed, and a literature review on the topic is presented. The second chapter publishes a review and analysis of the retail market in Russia. A sample was selected from the retail companies represented on the Russian market for further research. Within the framework of the third chapter, which is entirely devoted to regression analysis, several models were built and analyzed that explain the market value of companies with the subsequent inclusion of a variable franchise. All technical work was with the use of a universal package for solving statistical problems - Stata. Public sources of information were used to write this article: articles from magazines and newspapers, Internet resources, etc. Financial data on companies were obtained during the analysis of financial statements for the relevant period that are publicly available on official websites of companies. As a result of the work, it was revealed that franchising positively affects the market value of the company. In conclusion of the work the relevant conclusions were made and recommendations for conducting research work were formulated.
