Avia-industry is becoming much more important nowadays and we can see more and more people using flights as a mean of transportation. However, airport is an extremely complicated system, which includes great variety of processes and greatly depends on external factors. Using a process-oriented management can become a reliable approach for such a complicated organization. However, modelling such complicated processes can be a difficult task. In this text, I made a review of existing literature on the subject, and summarized results. Furthermore, I modelled an example of a value added diagram, attached event-driven process chains, and attempted to improve them. This text must be interesting for airport managers that wish to improve management efficiency, and for people who are interested in the subject in general.
