Development of a Simulation Model to Optimize Procurement Process in a Distributor Company of Sporting Goods

The master thesis is devoted to research and analysis of retail enterprises, namely the process of procurement of goods, which can be optimized by using the simulation modeling. The purpose of this work is to create an imitation model for increasing the efficiency of the procurement process of a retail company, by the example of a distributor of sports goods. The object of the study is the activity of a distributor of sports goods. The subject of the study is the process of purchasing goods. During the work the process of purchasing goods in retail trade was studied, the features of this process were revealed in the distributor of sporting goods, the tool and methodology for constructing the imitation procurement model was selected, and a simulation model was constructed to track to trace the amount of additional purchases of goods and their periodicity; Approbation and experiments with the developed model were also performed with the data of sales and purchases of a sports company. The proposed solution can be used by companies in the trade area, whose activities involve monitoring procurement data, to automate the cost control process and to make effective management decisions.
