In the bachelor's work one of the main problems in the field of human resources management is considered, the problem of recruitment of cadres of municipal bodies. To date, the selection of personnel - the process of assessing the professional qualities of candidates and determining their suitability for a particular position is one of the most difficult in dealing with cadres. Without developing an effective system of personnel selection, the number of the most competitive and qualified candidates is reduced. This problem is relevant both for the private sector and for the state, in particular for municipal bodies. The purpose of the work is to identify the characteristics of the selection of personnel in the public sector, in particular, in municipal bodies, as well as the problems of this procedure (on the example of the administration of the urban Balashikha district) and in proposing ways to solve them. The research hypothesis is based on the assumption that the personnel selection system at the municipal level is well developed and allows efficient selection of the necessary personnel. The study contains the results of a questionnaire on the topic: "Selection of personnel in municipal bodies", which was held in the Administration of the City District of Balashikha. As a result of the research, it turned out that there are specific problems in the system of recruitment in municipal formations, which refutes the hypothesis put forward in the study.
