The Improvement of Inventory Management System Using Methods and Tools of Predictive Analytics and Data Miting

Inventory management is one of the main factors which helps to increase the efficiency of logistics activity of the company and its competitiveness. Relevance of the chosen topic is due to the fact that it is impossible to reliably such random variables as demand or delay in delivery, but it is possible to provide a maximum demand coverage with a fixed level of logistic service taking into account possible forecast errors and delays in deliveries with minimal logistical costs. In this paper, an overview of methods and approaches to inventory management in retail has made; it was developed a tool, which helps to increase the efficiency of inventory management in retail in conditions of uncertainty and a multinomenclature assortment based on a flexible approach to forecasting demand and calculating the safety stock. On the example of the retail network of the cellular operator, the approbation of the proposed instrument was made. The purpose of this work is to develop an analytical solution to improve the process of inventory management. The object of the study is the CJSC Russian Telephone Company. The subject of the study is the process of inventory management in the company CJSC "RTK".
