Educational Experience of Latvian Students Studying Abroad in the Context of Their Life Strategies

This work is devoted to the educational experience of Latvian students studying abroad. The research is focused on student’s life strategies in educational migration. Author identifies key factors influencing on emigration from Latvia. In this paper, multiple identities of Latvian students are analyzed and specifics of students standing in a transnational field is described. Author proposes typology of student’s life strategies in the focus of social, cultural and economic capital. The influence of educational experience on student’s further life plans is also analyzed.
