Year of Graduation: 2017

Financial repression for many years has been widely used by governments in both developed and developing countries. Numerous studies offer various results about the impact of financial repression on economic growth. On the one hand, financial repression helps countries cope with excessive public debt, which inevitably leads to a reduction in growth rates. On the other hand, measures of financial repression, lowering the interest rate, reduce private investment, which in turn also leads to a slowdown in growth. Work on this goal involves itself the performance of a specific set of tasks, which can be formulated as follows: - Define the targets for financial repression; - Make an overview of the scientific and methodological literature on the research topic; - Generate a sample of the required statistical indicators by country and carry out the necessary preliminary calculations; - Give an overview of the current state; - Make an informed choice of factors, the variation of which can influence the economic growth in countries; - Test the hypothesis about the importance of the influence of selected factors on economic growth, using regression analysis methods.
