Today we are surrounded by multimedia information and its main source is our smartphones. We use our devices to get aforesaid information for various reasons, e.g. entertainment. One of the examples of usage is listening to music from smartphone. There is a common thing that when a person listening to some track he or she wants to skip it, play again or just pause it, and sometimes it is not convenient to use smartphone because of busy hands or it is not on arm’s length. In these cases it would be more convenient to use small remote control device on the wrist or from the pocket. The study presents a comprehensive, user friendly device based on smart wearable devices, capable of remote controlling multimedia playback on an Android smartphone via Bluetooth. The study consists of two main parts: designing a device with its software and developing an Android application to connect it. The result of this study will be a smart bracelet with an audio/video remote control function. The iOS devices support will be realized in the near future. The extra function which can be added to device is notification tracking. It will be needed to add electro motor which will create vibrations when the smartphone gets a message or a call.
