Year of Graduation: 2017

This work focuses on the analysis of Pure Monday by I. Bunin as a novel with the conception of the Silver Age. The investigation includes not only Pure Monday but other novels by I. Bunin (Mitya`s love, Stepa, Genrich, The River`s Tavern, The Second Coffee Pot, The Teetering Board, Rusya) and some publicistic works by I. Bunin. The work consists of the comparative analysis of the novel with some works by the contemporaries of I. Bunin – M. Tsvetaeva and O. Mandelstam (so called “Moscow poesy”) and The Poem without a Hero by A. Akhmatova. The choice of the texts is not accidental: all of them are distinctly relevant to Bunin’s novel concerning the reflected epoch of the Silver Age.
