The object of the study are individual travel plans compiled by users of information systems. The goal of the graduate work is to create a web application for travel planning based on the ASP.NET MVC framework. Within the framework of work an analysis of existing solutions in the field of travel planning was carried out. Based on the analysis of existing systems, the basic functionality of the web application for travel planning was identified and the user interface of the application was designed. Within the next step were designed application pages, that then were transformed to html layouts using existing frontend frameworks and templates. During next stage of development, a database to store application data was developed, based on the identified functionality and developed user interface. The next step of building a web application was to write the server side of the application using the ASP.NET MVC framework, whose objective is processing user`s requests, saving new and modified data in the database, and displaying the user`s interface. The development of the server side is divided into the following stages: designing the architecture of the server side of the application, configuring the development environment, configuring the connection to the database, implementing the authorization functionality, implementing the main part of the application related to the travel planning, configuring the server and hosting the web application on the server. The result of the work is a functioning web application based on the ASP.NET MVC framework, which allows users to plan an upcoming trip and then share their impressions and the created plan with other users.
