Good health is fundamental for human well-being and general prosperity. This study considers globalization as significant force that affects health outcomes. As globalization impact on health is still uncertain issue, current research explores the relationship between globalization and infant mortality rate.

Taking into account wide range of both developed and developing countries, 187 total, between 1970-2013 this research reveals globalization and health nexus through social-economic inequalities such as income, female education and political inequalities such as democratic status of the country and quality of government.

The empirical findings prove that globalization reduces IMR but does it in more extent in developed countries than in developing ones, the greater GDP the more effect of globalization on IMR. It was also proved that quality of government is much more significant that political regime per se and influences health conditions at much extent along with globalization
