The Prospects and Challenges of Creating a Free-Trade Zone between the EAEU and Egypt
This work is a detailed analysis of the prospects for the development of trade and economic relations between the countries members of the Eurasian Economic Union and the Arab Republic of Egypt in case of an agreement on a free trade area. Using the SMART program based on the partial equilibrium model, a scenario of the consequences for national economies and the welfare of the participating states is projected. Special attention is paid to the Russian Federation as one of Egypt's main trading partners. The paper also discusses issues and problems that the participants of the agreement may face.
