Marriage stops being the formal institute regulating traditions and rules of gender division of labor. For women he stops being the sphere of self-realization own "I", an increasing number of female persons is interested in creation of successful career. By means of 24 semi-structured the leytmotivnykh interviews, I find what social meanings people are inclined to put in the concept "marriage" and "cohabitation". I find that the compelled cohabitation is connected with desire of the woman to have a magnificent wedding. Also, it becomes clear that for men marriage is only socially approved alternative to loneliness.
