Student: Ekaterina Pavelko

Supervisor: Olga Savinskaya

Faculty: Faculty of Social Sciences

Educational Programme: Sociology (Bachelor)

Year of Graduation: 2017

The modern world is characterized by increasing families with 1-2 children, one of the reasons for which is seen in combining the productive activities of women and the exercise of the functions of motherhood and the upbringing of children. However, despite this tendency to reduce the birth rate and reduce and abandon children, every year more and more households receive the status of a large family. And according to the data, only 37% of large mothers are unemployed. The field for large families has not been adequately studied, in particular, questions have not been studied: How can mothers with many children work together to take care of children, and what are they willing to sacrifice in favor of one of the regions? And also why families prefer to have a large number of children, with the mother's employment?
