This paper examines the characteristics of cultural dialogue in the cross-border region as possible basis for construction in regions of the Russian Federation, which do not have common borders with other states. Attention is focused on the Chuvash Republic. The aim of the research to develop a model cross-border cultural dialogue with the participation of chosen region. In this paper we study the concepts of culture and intercultural communication in the context of the existence of cross-border communication in the modern world. Based on the analysis of existing cooperation with other countries on the northwestern and eastern borders of the Russian Federation, the main parameters were identified of the formation of cross-border regions, which are subsequently applied to the existing partners of the Chuvash Republic, the relevance of cross-border which is also cited in the work. The result of this work is the model of cross-border region through cultural dialogue with the participation of the Chuvash Republic and Hungary ("Cheboksary-Eger"), specifying the priority areas of cooperation.
