Attitude of Russian Businessmen to Risk

This paper is studying the relationship between attitudes to risk and some economic factors in a comparative perspective. A lot of works explored business risks, but there is a lack of empirical studies of Russian business. This work explores connections between economic approaches and sociological approaches to risk. Although we checked economic factors, the results were related to sociological concepts. The results show the attitude of businessmen towards risk in different periods. Accordingly, the results depended on the period, economical and political environment, social hierarchy in a certain period. The work identifies changes in the risk perception of businessmen.
