Observations of SMM are often focused either on research in certain existing methods of product promotion or on the search for the new ways to increase the output. The general purpose of the project is to study the new experience of SMM applied in automotive industry and to work out recommendations for Russian companies operating on the market. The data of personal pages of several automotive companies (Renault, Mercedes-Benz, Lada, Lifan and BYD) are to be explored on Facebook, VK and Weibo (Chinese social site). In view of social media constant development and permanent change, a great amount of new marketing approaches will appear, therefore, the next researchers might continue the current investigation.
