Development Trends of Edutainment Sector in Russia (on the Cases of Children's City, Interactive Museum)

In the master's thesis, carried out in the form of a case, the practice of the development of edutainment - the non-state sector of additional education and cultural leisure for children - is presented, which has been intensively developed in the market of entertaining educational services for children. The organizational conditions for the development of the edutainment sector and organizational forms as were analyzed: the townships of professions, interactive museums; the state of organizations of the edutainment sector in Russia and their development trends: marketing approaches, market potential, training systems, technologies, forms of integration into partnership with state educational organizations. According to the results of the study of edutainment-centers, the structure of the edutainment market (geographic, financial, economic, social and pedagogical) in the cities of Russia is presented: Moscow, St. Petersburg, Kazan, Yekaterinburg, and others. Based on the analysis of educational policy documents that state the position of the russian gevernment with regard to the potential of the edutainment-centers and the mechanisms for support of the non-state sector of additional education for children, we drew the conclusion that the state is interested in improving the quality of supplementary education services through the creation of a competitive environment through equal financing of both public and private organizations sector in the implementation of supplementary education services for children. Prospects for the study are related to the subsequent analysis of the network forms of supplementary education programs for edutainment centers and schools, and the study of their quality.
