Research of Technology Commercialization’s Model in Russia (on Example of IT Industry)

The work is devoted to the analysis of existing commercialization models used by IT companies for their developments and the factors that influence their choice. The paper provides a detailed review of the theoretical concepts of commercialization and technology transfer models, their differences and stages, and also the views of various authors. The work analyzes in detail the existing models of commercialization. During the expert interviews, the particular qualities of IT industry were identified. A questionnaire was created on the necessary data and answers were received from the heads of a number of Nizhny Novgorod IT companies. During the analysis of responses, factorial and regression analysis was applied using the SPSS Statistics software package. There were identified 13 factors influencing the choice of models of commercialization and the connection of each of them with a particular model. Also, a conclusion about the most successful models , the influence of the regional government on the effectiveness of Nizhny Novgorod IT companies and the problems of commercialization was reached.
