Representation of Managers about the Manageability of the Organization

Abstract Theory of social perception is based on determination of the core and the periphery of the perception of the substance. Particularities of the perceptions that has formed among the owners and top-tier managers of Russian business and non-commercial enterprises come from the synthesis of a number of elements generated from the scientific research in the field, including local and international studies, as well as from practical experience coming from within of their respective social groups such as industrial, regional and company specific (i.e. organizations owned and managed by those managers). Within the scope of the master’s thesis a quality study was conducted covering perception of the owners and top-tier managers of Russian business and non-commercial enterprises in the field on manageability and efficiency of the company and/or group. The study concentrates on issues related to business psychology, communications, identification of quantity (object based) and emotional (subject based) components of the perception formed. Within the scope of the master’s thesis key scientific achievements in such fields as efficiency and manageability of organization, theory of social percaption, as well as actual aspects related to genesis of perception of manageability among Russian entrepreneurs with businesses falling into category of small and middle size enterprises. As a result of the study comes a support of the empiric hypothesis of existence of a specific perception of manageability for representation of the selected group. The results achieved bear a significant value and can be applied in educational and consulting programs targeting Russian entrepreneurs, top and middle-tier managers.
