Social Representations of Russians about Business

The main goal of the research was to regard and analyse actual ideas on business and professional employment in a modern society. The paper analyses the term «economic consciousness», examines modern trends in entrepreneurship, defines specific features of the Russian enterpreneurship as a whole as well as ideas on business. The paper describes research aimed at studying social ideas on business among Russians. The study involved 173 people (108 women and 65 men). As a result, the most frequent associations of respondents were identified and divided into positive and negative poles, The differences in the most frequent associations dealing with the Russian business are described and analysed.
