Работа посвящена феномену массовых настроений в великой отечественной войны. Автор совершает экскурс, и выделяет в историографии проблемы 2 условных периода: советский и постсоветский, такое разделение автор связывает с изменением идеологических установок в исторической науке. Для реконструкция социальной реальности советского тыла автор привлекает воспоминания участников и новыми архивные материалами. В работе прослеживаются попытки сопоставления взгляда региональных историков со взглядом со стороны. В заключении, докладчик делает вывод о том, что специальных исследований по данной проблематике еще не было, а остальные касались Казани опосредованно. Поэтому в науке еще остается определенная лакуна, а исследование подобного рода поможет в реконструкции исторической реальности
