Over the past 30 years, China's economy has undergone impressive structural changes, related not only to changes in foreign trade, but also to a change in the structure of exports. When analyzing the factors that affected this process, it is important to remember that the Chinese economy is dual, in other words, it combines traditional (agrarian) and modern (industrial) sector. According to the model of Lewis and Fairy-Ranis, structural changes in the Chinese economy occurred due to excessive labor in agriculture, as well as stimulation of savings and investments. Regression analysis showed that these factors are significant for Chinese export. In addition, China also implements measures to support national exporters that also help to increase domestic production. The results obtained in this study can be used to restore the Russian economy, as well as to diversify the export structure towards industrial production.
