Peculiarities of State and Legal Regulation of Promotion of Medicines in the Internet

Abstract The object of the research. Governmental and law regulation of medical supplies promotion on the Internet. The subject of the research. The ways to promote medical supplies through the Internet. The objective of the research is to identify the specifics of governmental and law regulation of medical supplies advertising through the Internet; to put the areas for further improvements of the governmental and law regulation system of this field. To achieve this goal, it is necessary to solve the following problems: * Analyze the regulation of medical supplies advertising on the Internet; * Examine the system of voluntary self-regulation of medical supplies advertising on the Internet on the territory of Russian Federation; * Examine the system of control and supervision over observation of the legislation on the medical supplies advertising in the Internet; * Classify the ways of medical supplies promotion through the Internet; * Identify the differences in the perception of ethical and legislative norms by various pharmaceutical companies; * Identify the features of medical supplies advertising regulation on the territory of Russian Federation; * State and propose recommendations for improving the situation on the market of medical supplies advertising on the Internet. The structure of the paper. The research consists of three main parts. The first one embodies the analysis of the legal framework. The second one contains the empiric study which consists of several steps. The case-study of the medical products promotion ways through the Internet as well as the results of the interviews with pharmaceutical companies’ employees. The third part contains the conclusions concerning the peculiarities of governmental and legal regulation of medicinal products found on the Internet. Each chapter is logically divided into paragraphs.
