Year of Graduation: 2017

According to preliminary data, it can be concluded that due to fundamentally new topics and information about the annexation of Crimea, the media have returned the interest of citizens to the events in the country and the world in the media space, thus, for a long time kept the attention of citizens. The point is that one-sided interpretation of the causes and consequences of the annexation of Crimea achieved through total control of the media and comprehensive destruction of elite discourse in the Russia. It should be noted that this situation is related to the one-way information flow and attention of the audience identified with high intensity and the growth of xenophobia and intolerance to alternative points of view and the total elimination of their political supporters. The media continually transmit images, sounds, figures and facts that bear witness to the correctness of the actions of the Russian authorities and the importance and historical significance of the territory of Crimea, thus individuals continued to support the annexation of Crime and did not feel that the economic situation had been deteriorating in recent years.
