Object of the study: diagnostic capabilities of the questionnaire "Completion of marital divorce in the family with the child". The subject of the research: the substantive validity of the questionnaire "Completion of marital divorce in the family with the child". The questionnaire will be a new methodological tool for diagnosing the divorce situation in the family. It will help psychologists more accurately recognize the degree of completeness of the divorce. In our work, we identified and described the main aspects of the study of divorce, described the criteria for a complete divorce, based on a semi-structured interview, Budinite GL and Kogan-Lerner LB. They formed questions of the questionnaire, constructed scales that embodied the criteria for the completed divorce, and gave them meaningful names. We optimized the quality and quantity of questions in the methodology, analyzed the accuracy of the wording of questions and answers, identified the optimal number of questions in the questionnaire and in each scale. The substantiation of the content validity of the questionnaire was based on checking the consistency of the questionnaire and its scales, as well as on the expert distribution of questions on the scales of the questionnaire.
