Business Processes in Cultural Establishments: Effectiveness and Optimization

Graduation paper raised the issue of business processes in cultural institutions with the features and ways of development of the cultural sphere of the Russian Federation. The aim of this work was to optimize the business process and to propose action plan to improve performance management efficiency and quality of services provided by the cultural institution. This topic is relevant in connection with the vector which took the Russian Federation in relation to the cultural sphere, namely: the government currently seeks to optimize and automate management processes, with the aim of achieving best performance and maximum satisfaction of social demand in the sphere of culture.

Methodology the practical part of the study were qualitative data collection technique – depth interviews. For conducting interviews was developed by Hyde, consisting of 6 blocks, each of which addressed a different aspect of business in the cultural institution and help to produce a more complete picture about the features of public organizations. Based on the insights that were obtained in the course of the interview, exactly as with the collection and analysis of secondary information, a plan was developed for the description, analysis, optimization of business process. Also in the practical part to provide a more complete and informed action plan to improve the activities of cultural institutions was carried out a strategic analysis of internal and external environment of the studied companies.

In the end, after carrying out simulations and analysis of all information was submitted the action plan ("roadmap"), which includes a set of tools and recommendations that apply to specific cultural institutions with the aim of improving performance.
