History of Special Economic zones of India and China was analised. Their main specific traits were identified for both countries. Their implementation and development were analysed. The impact of SEZ on countries' economies was determined and researched. Comparative analysis of SEZ impact and functioning was conducted. Recommendations for further improvement and rectification of Specific Economic Zones' functioning were propositioned
