The Election Campaigns in the Media by the Example of National Elections in 2015-2016

The paper examines the pre-election campaign in the media during national elections in 2015-2016. The specificity of the Russian election campaigns was evaluated and the basic tendencies which have been shown at parliamentary elections in 2016 are analyzed. A content analysis of promotional materials in traditional media was conducted, as well as an analysis of campaigns on the Internet.
