The Influence of Environmental Factor on the Cooperation in the Field of Energy within NAFTA

The objective of this paper is to identify the prospects and problems of energy cooperation between the US and Canada within NAFTA taking into account their opposite ecology policy. In order to do that, the author aims: - highlight the aspects of environmental regulation within NAFTA; - to identify the contradiction between NAFTA and the environmental interests of the participating countries; - to assess the impact of NAFTA on the USA and Canada cooperation in energy sector; - to investigate the impact of the environmental factor on energy policy in the US and Canada: - to assess the impact of the environmental factor on the USA-Canada energy cooperation within NAFTA
