The Effect of Intellectual Capital on the Company's Value

Each company possesses Intellectual Capital that businesses should manage properly and use efficiently to get a competitive advantage on the market. Modern economy is based on knowledge, therefor, the value of Intellectual Capital increases. This paper aims to establish the role of Intellectual Capital for domestic companies over a seven-year period from 2010 to 2016. To measure the impact of fundamental value of Intellectual Capital on the market value of company assets I used Calculated Intangible Value method by T. Stewart. The present work is a study of economic approaches to the measurement of Intellectual Capital. It is an attempt to demonstrate that financial and economic analyses provide some information about Intellectual Capital value but cannot capture the whole picture of it.
