Self-Image at Women in Prospect of Marriage

This work is devoted to the study of the differences in the ideas about themselves of the adult women in the perspective of marital relations. The author has made a theoretical analysis of the origin, development and crisis of the traditional model of marriage. Psychological categories "self-image" and "life-image" are investigated in two psychological states: absence of marriage and in the prospect of a potential marital partnership. Assumption of expanding the image of themselves of the women in the perspective of marital partnership is empirically confirmed. The phenomenon of female marriage expectations of the studied group of women is described.
