World Economy
(Bachelor’s programme)
2017
This work is devoted to the study of the universities' role of Russia and China in the implementation of major integration economic and political projects in the Euro-Asian region. The aim of the work was to assess the current and prospective impact of scientific and educational cooperation between Russia and China on the development and implementation of integration projects in the Eurasian region. To achieve this goal, economic integration associations in the Eurasian region were examined, the significance of the "third" role of universities in the context of growing international competition of universities was assessed, and various formats for bilateral and multilateral scientific and educational cooperation with the participation of Russia and China in integration projects were evaluated. The methodology of the study is based on comparing the assessments of international competitiveness of universities by their one-dimensional ranking with the results of new projects for assessing the quality of universities using the methodology of multivariate analysis of their activities. The analysis included the activities of various universities in Russia and China, participating in the network formats of educational cooperation. It was concluded that the formats of network cooperation can be considered well-founded, capable to contribute in decision-making of major socio-economic and political tasks of integration projects. It was also concluded that the entrepreneurial activity of universities and their interaction with business is of particular importance, since the inferiority in the exclusively theoretical orientation of students' education, the need to actively cooperate with universities and enterprises, has come to the fore.
