Chinese System of Cybersecurity and Control Over the Internet

This paper aims to analyze the body of literature that exists on Chinese cybersecurity infrastructure. Our study advances our understanding of Chinese system of cybersecurity and control over the Internet in People’s Republic of China. The main contribution of this study is the comprehensive coverage of Chinese cybersecurity and control over the Internet, its departments and bureaus, their main functions and objectives. Our study describes the key implications of military reforms on Chinese system of cybersecurity. Moreover it analyses new Cybersecurity law and International Strategy on Cybersecurity. The paper also seeks to establish the framework for further studies as the findings of this project will further enhance understanding of Chinese system of cybersecurity and control over the Internet in Russian discourse. All of this may have implications for Russian national security policy.
