Creation of Regional Public Chambers: St. Petersburg’s Case

In this research we have focuses on the process of formation regional Public Chambers, in particular, of the Public Chamber of St. Petersburg.

In the process of our research we grounded our theory on different works of Russian and foreign authors in Russian and English languages. Empirical base consisted of normative legal documents that define the institutional design, the process of formation and functioning of the Public Chambers of St. Petersburg, and 14 expert interviews were also used.

This research consists of five parts: introduction, theoretical chapter, two empirical chapters which include chapters about the Public Council of St. Petersburg and the Public Chamber of St. Petersburg and conclusion.

Our sources are presented in the bibliography.
