The Economic Analysis of the Negative Investment in Capital Health in Post-Soviet Russia According to the RLMS Data

The subject of this paper is to test the hypothesis that "lack of faith in the future" contribute to the increase of negative investment in health capital. For this aim it is dealt the influence of factors describing the "lack of faith in the future", on the propensity to smoking and exercising. This influence was estimated on the data of RLMS (Russia Longitudinal Monitoring Survey) for 2009 – 2015 by constructing a series of econometric models. The empirical results do not reject the hypothesis, and also create a field for further research
