Information Portal Development for Energetic Company «Enel» in Global Network: Project-Oriented Approach

In modern literature, lots of attention is paid to such discipline as "Project Management". In particular, there is a constant struggle between project management methodologies: traditional and agile ideas. The purpose of this final qualifying work was the development of an information portal for Enel energy company in global networks through a project approach to this task. The goal was successfully achieved, and on December 20, 2016 a new corporate portal of the Russian representative office was launched on the Internet. The theoretical aspects of the concept of project management in a modern company, the history of the development of discipline and the definition of traditional and flexible methodologies are considered in the framework of the paper. Comparison of these methodologies on several grounds is described, some existing modern agile project management methodologies are described: Scrum, Feature Driven Development, Extreme Programming. Also, modern trends in portal solutions were analyzed, which are applied on the websites of energy companies around the world. The second part of the study is devoted to practical coverage of the project. During development, a hybrid project management model was applied. This was expressed in the breakdown of the project into short iterations or sprints, which lasted for the most part 2 weeks. The own methodology was developed illustrated in the business process, through which the working group of the project worked. The project involved three stakeholders: the Enel Central Office in Rome, the company's official representative office in Moscow and the Contractor. The project was successfully realized and implemented within the terms and budget. The main results of the work are: new graphic design, adaptive layout, purchasing aggregator, stock quotation widget, new media content.
