The Image of Nobility in K. S. Aksakov's Publicism

Student: Akunina Iuliia

Supervisor: Mikhail Velizhev

Faculty: Faculty of Humanities

Educational Programme: Philology (Bachelor)

Year of Graduation: 2017

The texts by Konstantin Sergeyevich Aksakov, one of the main ideologists of Slavophilism, are usually considered as a manifestation of the Russian folk spirit (russkij narodnyi duh) and glorification of the Russian community (russkaya obschina). However, the role of the nobility in his Slavophile concept often remains unnoticed. This study aims to highlight and clarify the basic terms of the publicistic language of Aksakov to understand how specific verbal formulations represent his political views.
