This work is dedicated to the study of the migrant quarter in Kreuzberg district, located in Berlin. The aim of the work is to understand and analyze the transformations that were brought by the members of ethnic minorities in a concrete quarter. The topic is acute regarding to the active migration processes occurring in the urban environment of European countries. Some districts of the German capital have established themselves as "migrant" in the second half of XX century and remain the places of ethnic minorities’ settlement. This work expands the understanding of migrants’ daily practices, as well as their interaction with representatives of the “host society” in the urban space. Field observation of migrant infrastructure facilities (in snack bars, restaurants and shops), as well as interviews with representatives of owners and visitors, shows that on the one hand, the quarter is transformed under the influence of ethnic communities: new infrastructure facilities are emerging, where the migrants are actively implementing their economic activity and arrange their lives. On the other hand, representatives of the different ethnic groups, including Germans, live in the district and interact with each other, using the “ethnic” infrastructure.
