Faculty: Faculty of Economics, Management, and Business Informatics

Educational Programme: Software Engineering (Bachelor)

Year of Graduation: 2017

In the paper, it is considered a genetic algorithm that makes it possible to decipher messages encrypted with a homophonic cipher. The paper consists of an introduction, 4 paragraphs of the text, conclusion, bibliography and 4 annexes. The first chapter of the paper describes the subject area, in particular, simple substitutional ciphers, an encryption algorithm using a homophonic cipher, as well as a general scheme of the genetic algorithm are considered. The second chapter contains an analysis of the existing methods of deciphering the genetic algorithm, also the chapter describes the functional requirements for the system being developed. In the third chapter, a genetic algorithm for deciphering a homophonic cipher is described step by step. The fourth chapter describes the design, implementation and testing of deciphering applications for a homophonic cipher. In applications for work there is a technical task for development with the application, a user's guide, the designed forms of the decryption application, and the code of the developed program.
