The Impact of Political Factors on Pension System Models during Transit Period: Belarus and Kazakhstan Cases

The following article is trying to investigate the political factors that influenced the process of implementation of pension reforms in Belarus and Kazakhstan during the period of political transit. The emphasis of research attention is on the examining the influence of such factors as the political regime characteristics, the factor of linkage and territorial neighborhood. As a result, it is possible to draw conclusions on why two states with the same starting points chose different ways of developing and reforming pension system.
