Reflection of Humanism`s Crisis in the Soviet and British Fairy-Tale Literature in the Period of the Second World War

Problem of humanism crisis is considered during the war period with special attention and due to some specifies of genre there appears interest to the literary fairy-tales. This study analyses the case of fairy-tale prose written during the Second World war period in USSR and Great Britain on examples of work British authors Tolkien and Lewis and Soviet – Shwartz, Gabbe, Marshak and Chukovski. Based on the discourse and comparative analysis the research will find reasons and contexts of high attention to such fairy-tales during the war and features of use it as a tool for discussing moral and humanistic questions, also developed anti-totalitarian motives. The structure of the work includes theoretical part with analyzing the problem of humanism crisis and its pre-history in 20th century and practical part with analysis of cases: certain books of the considered topic.
