The main goal of this empirical research is to try to develop a model, which can analyse and evaluate how certain macroeconomic variables are affected by different economic shocks. For example, there might be changes in monetary policy, oil prices, exchange rates, etc. and, perhaps, provide suggestions regarding possible policy actions. In spite of the fact that it has been a long time since Russia moved to open economy, not so many researchers have tried to create an elaborate model, which is capable of analysing structural shocks and effects of a monetary policy.
