Factors of Regional Budget Formation in Russia

This research is devoted to outlining the factors (geographical, economic, political and that of human capital) which affect the share of dotations in the revenues of Russian regions. The analysis was conducted for the years 2012-2015. Firstly, each year was interpreted as a cross-section and separate regressions were estimated. Then, the analysis of the panel data including all the four years was conducted. The results of the research only partly confirm the theoretical predictions of the author.
