This research was dedicated to the actual theme – employment of graduates in Russia. As education plays a key role for every of us, from one side it is very important for personal aims but from another side it is the main driver for the economic growth in the country. The aim was to determine the factors peculiar to universitites that influence mostly on the employment of graduates. The factors that were tested were divided by two groups: factors of graduates peculiar to universities and by macroeconomic factors as each university is situated in its own region and district, which also influences on employment of university graduates. Cross sectional data was used and the coefficients were estimated by OLS. After the model was tested there was made a conclusion about the significance of the factors that influence on the employment of graduates, and the hypothesis were analyzed that were previously made. The novelty of this paper is that the chosen data was universities from all districts in Russia instead of the individuals in different universities. The model could be used in further researches.
