The existence of nuclear weapons poses a threat to both the host countries - India and Pakistan - as well as the world community as a whole. That is why it is necessary to analyze the factors that can provoke both states to use nuclear weapons or replenish their arsenal in a dangerous amount. The study of the political regimes' impact - is one of the possible options for investigating the factors that influence the state's nuclear strategy. To do this, it is necessary to understand exactly how the political regime influences the decision-making in the field of nuclear weapons, how the strategy is formed, is changing and implemented under the pressure of the characteristics of a certain political regime. Does a certain regime contribute to a more effective strategy? Do regime characteristics affect the speed of implementation and quality of nuclear strategy? These and other questions will be examined in this study.
